  3. Looks great. I will be interested to hear how your side deal with the concrete contractor goes.

We got the recessed lighting in the basement for the Ravenna too, and I noticed that they have a light fixture at the bottom of the stairs. Was that something that was added or is that standard?

    1. We think that was actually a mistake since the blueprints only have one light in the middle of the basement staircase. Its a cool mistake but that fixture is huge for that placement. Will try to find something as low profile as possible. There is no headroom for a recessed can though.

    2. That is a good mistake indeed. I looked at my prints and it is the same as you described. Maybe I will get the same mistake too!

    3. I could be wrong, but I believe it's code to have one at the bottom of a staircase. Of course I could be talking out my ass too.
We don't have a finished basement, but there is a light bulb at the bottom. With the upstairs, we have a recessed light at the bottom as well.

    1. Passed by this morning and they were grading and getting ready for the driveway, not sure whats going on on the inside, I know that they need to do some final paint touchup, not sure if they do that with the floors laid or not.
